We can arrange for a Beacon to be placed at your stand. The Beacon will send a notification to visitors from your business when they are close to your stand, encouraging them to come and see you.

The Beacon is also able to track visitor engagement across the day, see the average length of time visitors spent with you and see what ranking you had versus other Beacon sites, giving you valuable insight to plan for your next Expo. We will provide you with your Visitor Engagement Report approximately two weeks after the Expo.

Please provide a brief one sentence message to visitors that will be loaded into the App. An example of a message could be 'Visit Jigsaw Solutions Group, test your puzzle skills to win a prize, plus go in the major prize draw too!'

This is an event for the exhibitors and sponsors and a great networking opportunity for those attending.

After a busy day at the Bay of Plenty/Waikato Business Expo 2018 what better way to unwind and get to know some of your fellow exhibitors? You will be mixing with an amazing group of businesses who have taken part in this major event.

Relax and have a drink and nibbles and connect with some of the businesses who you may have met ‘on the run’ today. Businesses have a common goal and connections made at this event will benefit everyone.

The three top stand awards will be presented at this social get together which takes place from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm.

For catering purposes, please register for this event when you book your stand.

Business Expo 2018 Awards will be presented at the Expo After 5 networking event

Awards will be given out for the following:

  • Most Innovative Stand
  • Top Stand Award
  • People’s Choice Award (entered also via the Business Expo App)
Sponsors will be the judges for these awards, with input from the Business Expo App for the People’s Choice Award.

Stand Setup

Stands include black panels, power supply to booth (10amp power point with 4 plugs) and spotlights . Wifi is at the venue, however if you want to play large videos or lots of streaming then we would recommend setting up your own internet for reliability.

All stands have a back wall and two side walls. If booking a corner site it will have a back wall and one side wall unless otherwise requested. If booking a double stand there will be one back wall and two side walls, there will be no division between the two stands.

Business Expo furniture and signage

You may like to enhance your stand with help from a range of providers. We will be in contact with details of our preferred suppliers. You can also email us for further information or an Exhibitor Hire Pack.

Setting up your stand

You may set up on Tuesday, 6 March indicatively from 4.00 pm until 9.00 pm (times to be confirmed). Each stand will be clearly labelled. Our stand supplier will be working Tuesday morning to have the stands ready for Tuesday afternoon. For health and safety reasons access will not be available prior to 4.00 pm.

Car parking and set up

Car parking is available at no charge. You will be able to park near the doors to unload your furniture and material. Please promptly move your car to the normal car parking area afterwards, so other exhibitors can drop their goods off near the entry. This also applies for pack down.

Expo day

The Business Expo 2018 opens at 9.00 am and runs until 4.00 pm. Pack down commences after 4.00 pm.

Business Expo opening event 7.30 am - 8.15 am

Join all the exhibitors and sponsors along with special guests, to celebrate the official opening of the Bay of Plenty/Waikato Business Expo.

Light refreshments will be served.

Business Expo After 5 Networking Event 5.00 pm - 7.00 pm

Open to this year's exhibitors and sponsors only. You must book for this event when you book your stand.

Visitor registration

There will be a registration desk in the foyer area.

Each visitor will be given a carry bag, kindly provided by one of our sponsors, for gathering information.

Visitors will be encouraged at this time, to download the Business Expo App to their phone and register if they haven't done so already.

Registration and attendance at the Bay of Plenty/Waikato Business Expo will also place them in the draw for the door prize.
